Yes, You Can Do This at Home

USEFUL things you can do now

The task before us is huge. The Enemy is in Endgame Mode. The Deep State + Multinational Corporate Alliance has all but declared itself independent of duly elected government. Many of our legislators are on the Chinese dole, including some top Republicans who won't go away. Conservatives hold the top federal court positions, but for how long?

In the face of all this impending doom, it is easy to throw one's hands and drop out. Move to Florida and enjoy what's left of Vanishing America. Or maybe find an uncorrupted corner of European civilization somewhere in South America.

Or you can pretend to do something. Share memes with the already converted. Share links to the latest news of idiocy and corruption on the part of the current administration. Earnestly expose a conspiracy -- as if that ever did any good.

There is useful work to be done. Mass quantities of useful work to be done. Much of it is groundwork. We need to plow and plant before we can harvest. The Evil Left is way ahead of us on most fronts. We have that one bright spot in the federal courts because this is an example where the Right did the groundwork. Today's federal courts are the product of years of effort by the Federalist Society. We need to do similar work for other institutions: schools, universities, corporations, and even churches.

This is way too much work for the current readership of this substack. So why do anything?

Here's the woo woo answer: Action begets motivation. Motivation begets further action. Get in the habit of doing something and a virtuous cycle can begin. Get motivated enough and your motivation becomes contagious and others join in. Wash, rinse, and repeat and you end up with a movement big enough to do something real.

Non profit organizations use this principle all the time. They will spend $50 to get a $20 donation from a new donor. And then they will use all of that $20 sending newsletters and further calls to contributions to that donor. The process is extremely wasteful, but it works.

But for longer term projects, it doesn't work well enough. To get from here to there requires intermediate milestones, even if they are artificial or downright bogus.

All political factions understand and use these principles, but today's out-of-control Left has internalized them to an insane degree. Notice the Left's love of costly symbolic action. Case in point: the ridiculous number of recycling categories at a Whole Foods Market. Most post consumer recycling does little to help the environment, and the more aware environmentalists know it.

But such diligent symbolic action can lead to something real. The hardcore eco-Left has made it possible to buy laundry detergent which doesn't leave a gurlimanificating chemical residue on your clothing. Ditto for less bad personal care produces, non BPA cans, etc. And they have created a market for a better biodegradable straw.

But today that impulse has gotten out of control. Earnest liberal parents are sending their children to dangerous schools and/or subjecting them to psychological abuse in the name of Anti Racism. They are giving their children puberty blockers or horrifying surgery in order to avoid being called transphobic.

And that mindset has spilled over into their policy prescriptions. Many of the costly laws and regulations that they impose are purely symbolic in their effects. The True Believers want The People paying a price for nothing in preparation for paying a higher price to come for what the True Believers really want.

It works. It's the Left's superpower. And I hate it.

I suspect most of you hate it as well. So even if I had the guile and charisma to inspire symbolic acts in order to get the motivation cycle going, the results would disappoint. You are the wrong audience. So what's the alternative?

Useful Small Scale Action

Let us explore actions which you can do which are potentially useful even if you are the only one reading this who acts. Let's look at actions which are worthwhile even if the Secret Society of Swell Reactionaries never materializes. Let's look at actions which are worthwhile even if I get abducted by hungry space aliens next Tuesday.

Protect Your Family

The Constitution has long been inconvenient for the Big Government Left. Federal social programs are obviously unconstitutional to anyone who has mastered basic reading comprehension. And when this country became mobile, it became easy to arbitrage tax rates and social problems in an unstable fashion. Tax payers could move away from tax recipients. For decades the Left has worked around these difficulties through a combination of "temporary" emergency measures (such as the tax break for employer provided health insurance) and tedious rationalization. (A constitutional scholar is someone who is an expert in weaseling around the clear meaning and intent of the Constitution.)

Today, they are attacking the Constitution itself, and your family is in the crossfire.

Today's attack on the Constitution is an attack on the people who wrote it. They did some bad things and therefore the Constitution is null and void. Not only that, the American government has done bad things throughout its history, therefore the American system of government is bad and needs to be turned into something else -- or turned over to international authorities.

And in these attacks on America's history, they attack the American people -- your ancestors if you have deep roots in this land that weren't part of the persecuted peoples. They are priming your children to hate you as a horrible racist if you defend the America that was in any way. And the problem is even worse if you married across racial lines.

Most of the earnest Anti Racist [sic] teachers have no idea how powerfully anti-family their teachings are. But there are Satanic Hard Left ideologues who do understand the anti-family implications and like it. And these horrible monsters control the humanities departments in most of our universities these days. The Hard Left has a long history of turning children against their parents. The State should be the only parent.

If you do not inoculate your children against their mental poison, your old age may prove lonelier than planned. If you want grandchildren to play with and loving children to care for you in your old age, apply Rule 3. Teach your children the history that they aren't getting in the public schools. Teach non-American history to put American history in perspective. Show them that their ancestors weren't uniquely evil; they were merely uniquely successful. The Internet is still your friend here. Lurid tales of historical horror make for great clickbait, so there are plenty of well written articles and entertaining documentaries in video form. (And make sure to read both Part 1 and Part 2 of Rule 3 to get ideas what to look for. Don't let your daughters buy that America as Patriarchy nonsense if you want to have any grandchildren.)

Of course, in order to have those grandchildren, it helps to have healthy, heterosexual children in the first place. So you might want to apply Rule 4 in your household. We are being chemically poisoned as well, and the poisons hit the young and preborn the hardest. Autism, allergies, and sexual confusion have been rising at a frightening pace. The Science isn't settled as to which toxins are causing the epidemics. Rule 4 says avoid any new chemicals added to the mix since 1980 (or maybe earlier) -- unless there is a high danger or unacceptable cost in doing so.

Yes, avoiding estrogenics is challenging and sometimes expensive. Avoiding herbicides and other novel chemicals can be even more so. Foregoing childcare to avoid today's aggressive vaccination schedule¹ can cost an entire income. (And stretching the vaccination schedule has its own dangers even if you keep your young child at home.) But autism isn't fun or cheap. Severe peanut allergies are dangerous. And so long grandkids if your children grow up to be sexually confused blue haired freaks.

Or Get a Family in the First Place

For the single men in the audience, applying Rule 4 may well boost your mojo and manly muscles.

But there are also opportunities through Rules 7 and 8. Too much talk of liberty and complaining about "Muh Rights" is babe repellent. The Libertarian Party has lots of incels for basic hard-wired reasons. Many political philosophies adjacent to libertarianism suffer similar issues unless countermeasures are taken.

Humans aren't bears. Bears have tiny cubs who nurse while the mother bear hibernates. The cubs are ready to run by springtime. Bears are natural feminists.

Humans have large babies compared to our body size, and human babies grow up slowly. Therefore, human females are extremely vulnerable when pregnant and while raising small children. They need protection, and are thus hard-wired to look for men who can and will protect.

Too much complaining about Muh Rights indicates outsider status. Too much talk of freedom without enough talk of responsibility flags unwillingness to commit and care for your offspring. Women love men in uniform because it signifies both status in society and commitment.

Irresponsible pencil-necked left-wing soyboys can get a girlfriend because they outsource the support and protection to Big Government -- and they support killing inconvenient babies. We who like our government smaller and more local need to prove that we can take on the required responsibilities.

One solution is to be an active member of your church. This gives you status in a society and proves you can commit to something. Activity in the charitable arm of your church proves that you care about the weak and vulnerable. This is sexy -- in a good way. Unfortunately for the Vulcans in the audience, eligible women tend to be found most in the over-emotional mega churches these days. This is where Rule 7 theoretically comes in -- but the challenge is indeed great. There is beautiful music in traditional Christianity and there are beautiful women who like to sing and play beautiful music. Reconnecting the beauty with active Christianity is a challenge I leave to the reader.

Now let's turn to Rule 8. All too often, those who like their government small tend to downplay the problem du jour that the Left uses to justify a new government program. This sends an "I don't care about the weak" signal. Replace the downplay with a better counter offer and you lose the "I don't care" factor. If your counter offer is truly better, then you have a chance at radiating strength and competence. Take a leadership role² in making your counter offer happen and you become an Alpha.

Alpha is a role, not just a roleplay. Adopting a more caring philosophy and taking on a leadership role can be far more powerful than time spent in gym. At least that was my personal experience back when I was single -- and I'm nerdy by nature.

And finally, have a look into the green dimension. Lots of beautiful hippie chicks out there. Stay at home motherhood is quite compatible with raising organic vegetables and happy critters.³ I'll have a lot more to say about mixing environmentalism and All-American Reaction when I get to Rule 11. Wow! I'm only halfway through and the word count has passed 1800. There are even more Rules which you can apply at the personal level that I have yet to cover. And I still need to show how such self and family focused efforts can lead to building a real movement.

1. I am not a medical doctor or even certified crystal healer, so take any medical musings from me with a grain of salt. But this anecdote might merit further research: For my own family I opted to stretch out the vaccination schedule. My hypothesis was that all those immune stimulating adjuvants given before natural weaning age were a factor in the allergy epidemic. My first pediatrician launched into a rant about how horrible whooping cough was. We got the whooping cough vaccine on schedule, but delayed many others. As for the many vaccines we delayed, when we went to the family doctor later to talk catch-up, he said that it was too late. Many of those early childhood vaccines are meant to protect toddlers from bugs that spread in daycare facilities. Ask your doctor about this and avoid daycare if you can.

2. Either start your own Competent Environment Action Organization, or infiltrate an existing local organizations the humble way as per Luke 14:7-11.
